Our goal is success

With 20 townships of vast forest and lake land, our hunting territory is home to an abundant population of black bear with a good percentage of colour phase bears. We have harvested browns, blondes, cinnamons and of course a lot of black bears, some with a white blaze on their front. 

Most of our hunting is done from a tree stand over a bait site, which has allowed for a very selective and successful harvest.

If archery or muzzle loader are your interest, then this type of hunt makes an excellent choice with very good pope and young potential. Whether firearm or bow, our goal is success. We have enjoyed some great trophy hunting for these animals.

An exciting week in the wilderness

The bear hunt is so much more than just a hunt. It’s a fantastic week of wilderness experiences.  

You might start your day off heading out onto the lake for some awesome spring fishing for Northern Pike and Walleye.

Never a dull moment

Or maybe you’ll come along with us as we head out in the mornings to manage and bait our hunting sites. On our way, we might cross paths with pine martens, fishers, fox, lynx, all kinds of birds, an abundance of squirrels, deer, or maybe even a bear.

At mid-day, we’ll all gather back at camp for a delicious meal, and then it’s off to the woods for the afternoon and evening hunt.   

Hunting out of ladder-style stands, we will do our best to give you the tools and information you need to help guide you to that special bear. 

In the meantime, you’ll be entertained by their antics and character. There is never a dull moment when they are in front of you.

  • If you’re here during open fishing season, we’ll provide a boat for fishing as well; a nice addition to the hunt. A fishing licence is extra ($50-$100).

We want to provide an opportunity for you to bring friends or family along. Most of our stands are double-wide so if an observer would like to come along on some of the hunts, space will allow.

The Fine Print

Deposit required

All of our hunts are booked with a 50% deposit due by Jan. 1 of the hunt year. The balance is to be paid two months prior to the start of the hunt. Hunts are quoted in U.S. funds.

Refund policy

All payments after Jan. 1 are non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered if we are able to refill the spot or if for some reason we are not able to fulfill our hunt commitment to you. If you cancel prior to Jan. 1, your deposit will be refunded less a $100 service fee.

Taxes

The taxes that are charged on the hunt are 5% GST, which is payable on the total amount, and 6% PST, which is payable on both the lodging and meals portion of the trip. Hunting and fishing licence fees are set by the government and include the taxes.

Wounding policy

Our wounding policy is as follows: We will do everything we can to recover the wounded animal. If we can not make the recovery, the hunt will be limited to one more opportunity on the same site that the animal was wounded on. Please confirm the details of this policy with the lodge.

Fully guided with lodging & meals

The hunts are fully guided and include lodging with bedding, meals, field transportation, field dressing and skinning, etc.

Credit card & Interac at camp

We now have credit card and Interac available for our Canadian transactions that take place in camp.

Hunting contract & liability waiver

All hunters must sign the hunting contract and liability waiver prior to the hunt.
